Google charges for their answer service, though, correct? So with Google, you're getting paid employees answering the questions.
Yahoo, I think does offer a paid service as well, but is mostly just a gigantic Q&A forum where random people off the street answer the majority of the questions. If you ask/answer questions, you get points, but the rewards are pretty mild (you get to ask more questions/day...)

I've heard this style of Q&A stuff is extremely popular in Asian countries... whether it takes off with North American/Euro audiences... we'll have to see.

I tried Yahoo answers a while ago. What I go was one reply from a person who said "I don't know". And nothing more. No one :(
I was not asking something vague or super difficult.
My experience - Yahoo answers = no help

I seen one of these things about 4 or 5 years ago on an old website and I was able to answer questions, boy was that fun:jiggy:
I can not even imagine what peoples faces looked like from my answers...lol

Now I know who answered my question on Yahoo :)
I was able to answer questions, boy was that fun:jiggy:
