I'm hearing the next toolbar might be called "The Googlebar" and then ofcource trademarked.... :goog:
Lots of Google services have been slow. This supports the technical difficulties theory for everything that is happening with PR....
Gmail, Adsence, and other Gservices are slower than normal...

Apart from the obvious, what benefit do you get by checking the cache date?
My understanding is that if a page gets cached daily it normally has a high pr plus any new links on that page would be spidered quickly

PR has nothing to do with how many times a page is cached.
It is just a function of Link....
By checking cache date it shows how often your website is indexed... you can ever check from which Google's data center it is coming from.

So the cache tells me when last cached and which DC. Is that it?
