random anchor text?

I have asked this question elsewhere and got an inconclusive response so i thought i would run it past you guys.

I have the possibility of a footer link on every page of a 250+ page website.

The question is should i use the same anchor text on everypage OR vary the anchor text randomly (although all of the links will point to the same page)

this would let me target a lot of different keyphrases rather than just one.

random anchor text means that every time a page is spidered, the link may be different, will the SE like this?

using a set of your most important keywords would be the option for you.

choose 5-10 keywords you think is important to your website and then use them as anchor text across your site-wide links.

this will benefit you a lot...

but will they be seen as dynamic and not static links?

i understand that search engines like static links and that google seems to take a long time to recognise a link.

if the link is always changing will it ever get google recognition?

ive only just learnt of the allinanchor (http://www.searchen.com/forum/t148-what-is-the-allinanchor.html) and i would suggest using slightly different links on your sitewide link campaign

I wouldn't target the sitewide right now,.... here is too much speculation on negitive effects of sitewides.....

It sucks, it doesn't make sence, but this is what I am hearing... I even suspect I have first hand experience as one of my pages didn't increase in PR but others did.... The one that didn't raise had a sitewide to it..... Could be a coincidence, but it's enough for me to say, I would hold out.
