If I use white text on a white background will the search engines understand that I am trying to hide the text or no??

You do not want to use white text on a white background... You could easily get your site banned by doing so if it is picked up whcih it usually is...

Using text on a white background is okay only if it is contained inside a colored table....

The reason I am asking is this:

this SEO guy says to me "the search engine can't see those text... you will be banned, you don't know what you are doing"
so I said "well I have a background pic Grey and black and text is white???


well he is right I Don't know what I am doing, yet I have a secrey weapon:lie: Yah baby Yah!!!:ipep:

Images don't work like colored tables...

Since for all the engine knows the image could be white, it doesn't count them as a background......

Would be a goodway to hide taxt if they did...

yea they would pick that up, i read somewere you can use css to hide the text but its all black hat and not really worth it if your serious about a site because they will catch up in the end unless you change constantly

Yea, I wouldn't chance it... I'm still trying to figure out if the off site css docs are being parsed with the pages somehow....?

I wouldn't chance it. You could easily merge the css with the html and create another html page with all the styles inline:

Eg instead of <div class="textWhite></div> they could convert to <div style="font-color: white></div>

does a table inside a table count as hidden text?
examlple a table 10px wide, and inside that was a table 500% wide alligned right, it doesnt show up because its out of the first tables range and off screen and i thought about it but not tried it yet
