This iis just a brief discussion for those that are not aware of http://www.resource-zone.com (http://www.resource-zone.com/)
Resource Zone is a forum and community run by DMOZ editors to give the general public the opportunity to get a little insight on the status and submission changes to their DMOZ listings or submissions. It is also great for generall discussions and questions about the DMOZ PROJECT and is always monitered and occupied by current and active editors.
Generally, to get a listing in the http://www.dmoz.org (http://www.dmoz.org/) directory, it takes a bit of time. Much longer than it did in the past, but this is for obvious reasons... DMOZ is a web veteran in directories and is at my guess the main and best web directory online.
It also feeds thousands of other directories INCLUDING the Google directory.

Hey Rose, welcome to searchen.com ---
I took a look at http://www.invision-graphics.com (http://www.invision-graphics.com/).... really nice site!
For some reason, it hasn't been reviewed yet and there are no editor notes on it... The catagory is probably overloaded with submissions.... In these situations, it tends to take heavy traffic catagories very long periods of time to get to listings..
Just hasn't goten reviewed yet as if it did there would be some notes... :)

I feel your frustration! Here is a good link http://www.seo-today.com/crawler/topic-41.html
Make sure you look at page 2 and look for my conversation with Dmoz

I tried Resource Zone, but understandibly I got the standard 'Come back in Six Months' reply. I guess it's unfair to expect special treatment.

I questioned this and they claimed that editors higher up the tree would eventually look at nested categories. But as its virtually impossible to get accepted in a cat with an editor, I wouldn't hold out much hope...

This is why Google will purchase Dmoz. Y directory is doing quite well for it's support in organic search results. G will eventually follow. That will be a first for G.:yahoo::goog:

BIGTIME.... Maybe that explains the procrastination on their part.... they don't want to follow..... they never have before.....

For those of you wondering what I'm refering to read from the start of this thread!
Well I am the owner and Developer of Invision-Graphics.com; I thank you for the compliment!
Invision is still in the development stage and I hope to be releasing the cms very soon!
However I'm here on another note!
I have submitted my site twice to DMOZ and my wife was the one who posted over a year ago, and I can now say I have been 2 years waiting for someone from DMOZ to either answer or tell me why my site has yet to be accepted into their directory!
This doesn’t make much since to me as I and a few friends submitted their sites at the same time and they were accepted ages ago!
Now someone mentioned in this very thread that they seen my submission but an editor hadn't reviewed it yet!!!
How can it take 2 years for someone to review a submission!
Oh well either way I'm climbing the page rank status on my own as I now have a Google page rank of 5/10 and seem to be growing competitively in other search engines as well!
I just wanted to raise this question once again as I’ am still not listed someone isn't doing their job obviously!
I thought i would wait another year before replying to this thread to prove my point that DMOZ and their run around still hasnt accepted any submission!
