WEST PALM BEACH, FL –  Microsoft Advertising has introduced a new pilot program that allows advertisers to create and manage LinkedIn Ads directly through the Microsoft Advertising platform, marking a significant step toward unifying professional and search advertising under one interface.

Previously, LinkedIn Ads were managed solely through LinkedIn’s Campaign Manager. With this integration, advertisers in the pilot can now oversee both Microsoft and LinkedIn campaigns from a single dashboard. The new functionality offers streamlined management and enhanced reporting, while leveraging LinkedIn’s robust professional targeting capabilities – such as industry, company size, job title, and seniority.

Pilot Program Eligibility Requirements

Currently, this feature is being rolled out as a limited-access pilot, and participation is subject to eligibility criteria.

To qualify:

  • Advertisers must have an active Microsoft Advertising account in good standing.
  • You shouldn’t currently be running LinkedIn Ads through LinkedIn’s own platform
  • A LinkedIn Page and Campaign Manager account are required to run Sponsored Content and Message Ads.
  • Participants must comply with LinkedIn’s advertising policies and content standards.
  • Your billing location must be in the US
  • Targeting is limited to US audiences for now
  • You’ll need to have a LinkedIn company page
  • Billing must be set to postpay threshold or monthly invoice (prepay isn’t supported at this stage)
  • Interested advertisers may need to apply or request access through their Microsoft Advertising representative or support channel.

Key Benefits for Advertisers

This integration is especially valuable for B2B advertisers and agencies looking to consolidate workflows across platforms. By managing LinkedIn campaigns alongside Bing and Microsoft-owned properties, marketers can centralize reporting and performance insights while saving time switching between interfaces.

Additionally, the ability to tap into LinkedIn’s professional audience network within Microsoft’s existing ad infrastructure offers new strategic possibilities – particularly for brand awareness and lead generation campaigns targeting decision-makers.

What’s Next

Microsoft has not yet announced a full rollout date for general availability but is actively testing the integration with pilot participants such as SEARCHEN NETWORKS®. Advertisers interested in participating are encouraged to reach out to Microsoft Advertising for access details and onboarding requirements. If you need assistance you may contact us.

As cross-platform advertising grows increasingly complex, this move positions Microsoft to better compete with Google and Meta by offering a broader suite of tools tailored to professionals and enterprise marketers.
